I started this as a way to think more clearly and reflect on this whole journey.

Not to teach it. Not to package it up neatly. Just to write it out in real time and see what comes out. The good, the bad, and everything in between.

I've spent years working toward financial independence, and somewhere along the way I realized the numbers were never really the most interesting part.

The why was.

What are we actually doing this for? What does the other side actually look like? Those questions stuck with me, and this is where I'm working through them.

Some posts will be short. Some longer. Some might contradict each other — and that's ok.

I'm not trying to have it all figured out. Just honest reflections, as they come.

And if any of it helps someone along the way, that would be awesome. But mostly I'm just here to think out loud.
